At Luna’s Coon Farm, every cat holds a special place in our hearts, and today, we want to shine a well-deserved spotlight on one of our most cherished queens—Arya. This stunning tortie European Maine Coon has been a vital part of our cattery, bringing both beauty and strength to our breeding program. However, as life takes its natural course, Arya is now facing retirement due to a heart murmur that requires her to step back from her role as a queen. While this transition is bittersweet, we are forever grateful for the impact she has had on our cattery and the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

A Queen with a Warrior’s Spirit

From the moment Arya joined our cattery, she captivated us with her bold personality, striking tortoiseshell coat, and regal presence. Her elegance and strength made her a true standout, and she quickly became a beloved matriarch among our feline family. With her mix of affection and sass, she has always ruled with confidence, embodying everything we adore about the Maine Coon breed.

But Arya is more than just a queen—she is a fighter with a heart of gold. Despite her diagnosis, she has never let anything slow her down. She remains as playful, loving, and independent as ever, proving that even in the face of challenges, resilience and spirit shine through. Whether she’s perched on her favorite high spot, overseeing the younger cats, or basking in the sunlight with her luxurious fur gleaming, Arya reminds us daily that she is a force to be reckoned with.

A New Chapter for Arya

While retiring Arya from our breeding program is a difficult decision, it is ultimately what’s best for her health, happiness, and overall well-being. As much as we will miss seeing her nurture and raise her beautiful kittens, we know that this next stage of her life will be filled with rest, relaxation, and endless love.

Her retirement doesn’t mean she’s leaving Luna’s Coon Farm—far from it! Arya will remain with us as a treasured companion, continuing to watch over the younger kittens and offering her wisdom in her special way. She will enjoy cozy naps, gentle playtime, and all the pampering she deserves. No longer responsible for raising little ones, she can focus on simply being Arya—our elegant, feisty, and affectionate tortie queen.
